The artist about her work:

ANA GLAZAR

"My work is appealing to those who still maintain a connection to their childhood. A style which unifies illustration, painting, comics and design is inspired by music, neo pop and opposition spirit. My primary thematics are childlike creatures in unusual positions or with inappropriate speech and expressions of purity, cruelty, fear and solitude. My interest in oddities and simplicity of our inner world are ways to relate me and the public to our social conflicts and societyā€™s decline.

Through playful ā€œstoryboardsā€ and verbal content written in foreign languages the goal is clearly seen; the identity of ourselves is mostly searched for outside of our home. My painting does not only express the escape from reality but also memories, experiences and personal views. My hope is that through this childlike work the viewer can engage both reality and the subconscious to find identity and place us where we belong. "
