The artist about his work:

“I am passionate about drawing, firm believer of graphic expression shown through the outline, vibration and the fluidity of a line. I love visual narrative, iconic writing and to build images which produce critical thought and auto determination whilst unveiling the true inner self. We grow up, feed and communicate with images. That is who we are, reflections, accidents and shadows.

Yet, we are losing our capacity to contemplate an image due to the media- Internet, tv and all the different communication devices- We rather enjoy watching images in our screen than feeling the plastic sensation of a live art work. We don't longer read nor we look deeper inside the image per se. I want to force people to stay infront of my work, read, feel and connect with those images inside. I want them to try and unveil the drawing hence the image interacts with the person and the other way around. Every single piece has a different experience in live."

BIO

Born in 1986, Colombia. Graduated as an artist from the Xaveriana University as well as a publicist from the Tadeo University in Bogotá-Colombia. Santiago’s work is a combination of images within images where figures are turned into portraits masterfully drawn with stir hand. A mix of ink and multiple materials to create a graphic story in one unique picture.
